Breathwork is a powerful practice that involves conscious regulation of the breath. It encompasses various techniques, including yogic pranayama, Holotropic breathing, and others. By focusing on inhales, exhales, and breath holds, breathwork promotes relaxation, enhances lung function, and boosts overall well-being.
Conscious Cannabis is a contemporary way of relating to the Cannabis plant and flower in an intentional, medicinal, psychedelic and spiritual way.
Why Combine Cannabis with Breathwork?
Relaxation and Deeper Breathing: Cannabis induces relaxation, easing tension and allowing for more profound breaths during sessions. Achieve a state of calm and presence in both mind and body.
Heightened Sensory Perception: Cannabis enhances sensory awareness, making breathwork experiences much more vivid, immersive, and introspective. Dive deeper into self-awareness and explore altered states of consciousness.
Benefits of Cannabis-Assisted Breathwork:
Reduced Anxiety and Depression: Breathwork combined with cannabis can alleviate symptoms and promote mental well-being.
Enhanced Lung Function: Cannabis relaxes airways, allowing for improved respiratory capacity.
Better Sleep: Experience restful nights by incorporating breathwork and cannabis.
Lower Blood Pressure: The synergy of these practices supports cardiovascular health.

Cannabis Assisted Breath Work is a 4.5 hour experiential workshop where we explain and explore the basics of psychedelic Cannabis through the skillful use of simple mindfulness practices, active breathing, somatic awareness, a psychedelically potentiated blend of Cannabis strains, as well as other elements of set, setting and skill.
The workshop incorporates intention setting, a collective imbibing ritual, a 45-minute guided breath work practice, a 90-minute gentle post-breath work journey, the use of evocative music, and group integration both at the end of the journey as well as an optional online check-in a few days after the workshop.
When paired with intentional cannabis use, we have found this breath work practice to be one of the most rewarding, transformative, and deeply healing psychedelic experiences out there.

Safety FAQs

Yes, psychedelic experiences are not for everyone. Certain mental health diagnosis such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and Dissociative Identity Disorder are some examples of challenges that are contraindicated with psychedelics. For other issues that are extreme such as extreme depression, severe PTSD, etc Psychedelics can be powerful healing allies. However for those suffering these challenges, it is much better to start with 1 on 1 guided Psychedelic Journeys.
-
Yes, absolutely! We honor and commend you for taking care of yourself by asking. We would be happy to schedule a 1 on 1 session with you so that you can experience working with the medicine in a container curated especially for you. Contact us to schedule a session. If you decide to go forward and join our retreat we will credit 25% of the cost of your first 1 on 1 session towards your retreat.
-
If after integrating your experience with your guide a week after your journey, you and your guide agree that you got nothing out of your experience, we’ll gladly refund you the cost of the session. Our focus is on healing before profit.

Its normal and healthy to be concerned, but Psychedelic Cannabis is about the safest psychedelic available. It provides an incredible sense of agency, meaning if you are challenged, your facilitators will be able to support you and guide you to utilize the skills you will learn prior to your journey. Focusing on breathing, bringing your awareness to your body and using your breath to surrender, and knowing that you are safe and supported, allows people to let go and gently lean into their experience so as to have the greatest benefit.

Keeping our guests and staff safe is our number one concern, always always always!! There really aren’t any safety concerns with Cannabis that can not be mitigated by completing the Psychedelic Safety Assessment honestly and completely. We’ve been guiding people in multi-day transformational adventure travel experiences since 1993, and the only on tour injury incurred was a squirrel bite on a guest’s finger at the Grand Canyon. So remember, Squirrels are like cigarettes! They’re perfectly harmless until you put one in your mouth and light it on fire… …or pull its tail!
-
Most truly "bad trips" result from an inappropriate physical setting or a non- purposeful mindset going into the journey. Our role as facilitators is to prepare you and make sure your physical and energetic space is properly held, creating the best possible container for a safe, meaningful journey. While aspects of journeys may be challenging, when you know you're safe, you can lean into and successfully navigate through challenges and integrate the lessons from the experience.

Fortunately the healing effects of psychedelics are finally being properly studied. Anxiety often stems from living in the future, whereas depression comes from living in the past. With depression we experience ruminative thinking - being stuck on thoughts that we can’t let go of. Often it is because we don’t properly process and file away past traumatic experiences, thus keeping them as an influential factor in our present day interaction with the world. Psychedelics help us become fully present. They allow us to see past experiences from a less emotionally engaged perspective, so that we can process and then file away those experiences where they belong - in the past. Then we're able to observe the world and ourselves as they are in this moment, usually resulting in a more care-free and open attitude toward our lives.
-
No, it does not. However its your responsibility to check with your prescribing physician to make sure that there are no problems with you using cannabis with your medications.
-
There are a few serious mental issues that need to be disclosed before taking psychedelics. Those with a history of schizophrenia, suicidal behavior and some other mental states are advised against psychedelics use without a specific recommendation from their medical doctor. However, physical risk is extremely low. Please be honest in your application so that we can have full knowledge to let you know if our retreats are the right experience for your growth and healing. We can answer these specific questions in a private email.
-
This is an exciting question because as the journeyer on a Cannabis Assisted Psychedelic Journey, YOU have total control over the dosage. Cannabis is wonderful because it provides so much agency. At any time during your experience you can, with our guidance, take more medicine and then go right back into the experience. It is essentially impossible to take too much.
-
It’s almost impossible to take too much cannabis and get into a dangerous physical health crisis. But if you feel the experience is too intense to handle, your facilitators can offer you a few sprays of a nano-encapsulated CBD, which quickly acts as an antidote, helping the journeyer to relax and lean more deeply into the experience.
Psychedelics & Psychedelic Cannabis FAQs

(psyche + delic ) of a drug; producing an expansion of consciousness through greater awareness of the senses and emotional feelings and the revealing of unconscious motivations; of, pertaining to, or produced by a drug.

Cannabis can be psychedelically potentiated by certain growing, aging, blending, and mixing techniques. When such a blend is used in a guided setting with intention, ceremony, and reverence, the cannabis experience is a powerful yet gentle gateway to transformation, for ourselves and for society. Our clients commonly report experiences that are as potent and psychedelic as MDMA, Psilocybin, Ayahuasca and even DMT.
-
For one, Cannabis is currently the only psychedelic plant medicine available for legal use in psychedelic therapy and psychotherapy settings in the United States, as well as the most accessible.
More importantly, Cannabis is an incredible medicine to work with in psychedelic therapy. Since cannabis has a “shapeshifting” nature and can mimic other medicines, no other medicine creates such a diverse psychedelic experience
In our experience, a Psychedelic Cannabis Journey starts like an MDMA experience, then it morphs into a psilocybin experience. A very significant number of journeyers also state that they experience ayahuasca-level and DMT-level trips, especially if we add certain breath-work practices. We are becoming more and more convinced that cannabis used skillfully may be as effective as MDMA in treating PTSD.
We have had Psychedelic Cannabis experiences that were indistinguishable from MDMA, psilocybin, LSD, peyote, ayahuasca, N,N-DMT, and even 5-meo-DMT. The primary difference from other strong psychedelic medicines is that Cannabis journeyers keep their agency, meaning they can navigate the experience more skillfully, and with greater ease, and they can pause the experience if it becomes overwhelming
The Psychedelic Cannabis Experience does not require high doses, but is exponentially stronger than an experience that is typically associated with cannabis alone. Cannabis is the safest psychedelic medicine available and can be regularly and safely used for ongoing Psychedelic Therapy and Psychedelic Exploration purposes.
-
Psychedelic Cannabis is such a wonderful medicine. Not only can Cannabis mimic all the other psychedelics, but it is considered the Consensual Psychedelic because of the sense of agency, meaning that at any time you can step out of and then back into the journey as needed. Cannabis is also referred to as the Somatic Psychedelic because of its effect on the endocannabinoid system and the body, encouraging the release of physically held trauma and tension. And, it is incredibly powerful while also being extremely gentle, having been compared as “just as powerful as Ayahuasca, and gentler on the body”.
-
We call cannabis the “Somatic Psychedelic™” because it effects both the 5-HT2A receptor of the brain (which other psychedelics activate) as well as the endocannabinoid system in the body. These sessions provide a full body and soul holistic experience that is deeply healing, both physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally.
These are deep experiences that are typically experienced in a three to five hour session that generally include music and periods of the client turning inward and the guide or therapist holding space. However, just because cannabis journeys are generally shorter than other psychedelics, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are less intense. The primary difference is a greater sense of agency and safety, with all of the benefits of other psychedelic medicine experiences.
-
Most legal dispensaries have the highly potent strains required to create a potent Psychedelic Cannabis blend. Due to licensing, we do not provide the medicine. We do however completely support you with detailed guidance on selecting and preparing your medicine. Prior to each retreat we will take you to a dispensary on the way to the retreat center to acquire your medicine.
-
While research indicates the potential power of a single dose in some situations, especially for people having recently received a terminal medical diagnosis, thousands of years of sacred medicine experiences has shown that for deep healing, multiple psychedelic journeys is highly effective and sustainable.

No specific beliefs or adherence to any religion are required to heal with Psychedelics. Many people, whether secular, spiritual or religious, describe their psychedelic experience as one of the 5 most significant experiences of their lives. Spirituality, a belief in and/or sense of connection to all things seems to relieve us of the unbearable, unattainable, overwhelmingly impossi
